1st day (May 6th): lectures in-person/online
2nd day (May 7th): hands on at SESAME BEATS beamline with the beamline scientist
• 3-5 COMULISglobe travel grants
• 2x travel support for Euro-BioImaging Node staff from EVOLVE
What is SESAME?
SESAME (Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East) is a “third-generation” synchrotron light source that was officially opened in Allan (Jordan) on 16 May 2017. It is the first synchrotron light source in the Middle East and neighbouring countries, and also the region’s first major international centre of excellence.

The deadline for travel grant application is March 31st, 2025.
To apply for one of the limited in-person training slots with actual beam-time , please follow these steps:
1) Fill out the application for for the synchrotron workshop (obligatory for all participants, online or in-person)
2) If you require travel support, please download and complete the travel grant applications under “COMULISglobe Travel Grant Application” (if you are staff at a Euro-BioImaging Node, you are also eligible for the “Euro-BioImaging Node Staff Travel Grant from EVOLVE”)
3) Once you have completed the application form, please send it to comulissociety@gmail.com
